St. Louis Visit

Danielle and I went to St. Louis last week while Nate was on his March Madness trip. We had a great time with Grandma Christian -- a totally girls weekend filled with shopping, going out to eat, time at the park and an afternoon at the Botanical Gardens. It was fantastic weather and a much needed getaway.
Danielle had quite a developmental week: She learned how to climb Grandma's stairs, she pulled herself up to a standing position using the dishwasher door, and her top two teeth popped through. WOW! Nate jokingly said that Dani is no longer allowed to go and visit grandma! :)

Warm Days

We have had some warm days in Indy lately, so we have taken full advantage of the opportunity to be outside. Danielle absolutely LOVES going to the park. She has a great time in the swing (as you can see) and has mastered going down the slide, too. Our next step will be to teach her how to climb so she can get to the slide on her own. We tested out a jogger stroller and she seemed to enjoy having the wind blow on her, so we are looking forward to some time on the trails in the weeks ahead. In some of the hand-me-downs came hats and sunglasses. We tested those out, too, but she is not too sure about those things just yet.
All in all, we have had a wonderful time as a family experiencing the newness that spring brings and joining Danielle on this new adventure!

Is this comfortable?

Surely this is not a comfortable way to sleep, but we came in to check on Danielle last night and this is how we found her sleeping. Her friends, Hippity Hop and Raffie, were in the crib with her. So, we think they were having a party together and she got so tired her head

just fell forward.

Ready to Swim

Danielle and I have been going to swimming each week. She absolutely loves the water. We have a lot of fun together. Some of her favorite things to do are splashing, floating on her back, going down the slide, playing with toys in the water, and, yes, even going under water. It has been a joy and delight to explore water fun with Danielle.

Exersaucer!

Random and funny

Danielle has been so funny lately. Some of these bits have been caught on camera....although nothing compares to the real deal!

8 months old!

Danielle is 8 months old and she is full of JOY! Laughter is a part of everyday --she laughs at pictures, as she plays, and at her parents. :) She is moving around quite a bit these days which keeps us on our toes, for sure! She continues to do the army crawl simply because she can move faster that way right now. We are sure that is soon to change. She loves to play with toys, turn the pages in books, feed herself, and spend time wrestling with us.
We are having a blast being parents and continue to give God great thanks for our precious child!
