Our active girl

We can't believe how active Danielle is these days. Today she spent almost an hour playing, looking at her pictures, focusing on her dangling toys, and so much more. During tummy time, she acted like she was flying raising her legs, her arms and holding her head up high. It was amazing! It is so exciting to watch her grow! :)

One Month Old!

Time really flies! One month has already passed and our little girl is growing very fast. Danielle is goofier every day as noted by her "4-week old" picture. If she could hop, she probably would hop around the house with her bunny! Our little girl is sweeter each day, too. Grandma & Grandpa Christian gave Dani some black and white pictures which she LOVES. She focuses on the pictures and then "talks" to us about them. She loves to be sung to and especially enjoys her bedtime stories and song.

Needless to say, we are totally enjoying our little girl.

FIRST ROAD TRIP!

Danielle took her first road trip this weekend to Clear Lake. She did not swim in the lake just yet, but she is looking forward to next summer and taking a dip in the water!

True to form, as soon as Dani was in her car seat, she fell asleep. She slept all the way to Clear Lake and slept the entire return trip to Indy, too. In that way, she takes after her mother. :)

Meeting the fam

Danielle met many family members this weekend, including Great Grandma & Grandpa Luepke, Uncle Matthew, Great Aunt, 2nd cousins, and more! It was a great weekend!

3 Weeks Old!

How time flies past! It seems like just yesterday the Lord blessed us with our beautiful little girl, and here it is 3 weeks later. Danielle is changing daily. Her eyes are much brighter, following us as we talk to her, sing to her, and help her explore her new world. Her arms are moving with a bit more purpose, her legs are pushing against us with more strength, and her voice is being heard in new ways. She has lengthened out from the ball she was 3 weeks ago and she is filling out as well.

It is so exciting to be on this adventure, looking at the world through new, young eyes!

Snoozing

While daddy was working in his office, Danielle and I decided to take a little snooze together. Daddy obviously took a little break to capture this on film.

I have to say, though, that this is the life!!

ZONKED!

Today, Danielle went to church for the first time since her birth. The whole idea of it really wore her out because she fell asleep on the way to church, slept all the way through church and the trip back home, woke up for a feeding, and immediately went back to sleep again. She was zonked! :) During church she lifted up her right arm with her hand wide open as if she was giving everyone the blessing..."Go in peace & serve the Lord!"

First Holiday

Happy 4th of July!

We took Danielle on her first excursion to the mall! Interestingly enough, Daddy purchased some items and mommy did not. Definitely a roll reversal today. Danielle continues to enjoy her carseat, rides in the car, and walks in the neighborhood. It has been a good day, filled with blessings.

2 weeks old

Our Little Lutheran weighed in today at 8 lbs. 14 oz. 2 weeks old and changing everyday!
