Playtime

Danielle is in her second week of life and she is taking it by storm! The strength we see in her during playtime is amazing. She has been moving her head back and forth during tummy time, she reaches for her little animals that hang from the Gymani, and she really enjoys looking in the mirror. We, too, are enjoying watching her explore her new world!

First Doctor's Visit

Today we went to Danielle's first doctor's visit. She was so good for the whole visit and we were very proud of her.

Her stats are great! She is back up to 8lbs 10 oz which puts her at the 90th percentile in weight. She has grown 1/4 of an inch making her 20.75 inches long which is the 80th percentile in height. Her head is in the 60th percentile. After the doctor looked at her ears, listened to her heart, checked for reflexes and more, he said she looks great and that he'd see her in a month.

All is well with her growth and progress. Mommy and daddy were very happy!

TODAY - I am one week old!

Welcome precious Child of God!

Danielle Christian Luepke arrive on Thursday, June 19, 2008 at 6:45 p.m.
8 lbs. 11 oz. 20.5 inches long

Our journey began on Wednesday, June 18. Contractions began around 12 noon and continued through the night. We went to the hospital on Thursday morning to begin the induction (scheduled previously because Danielle was 10 days overdue.) After 13 hours of labor, Danielle arrived into the world. It was a wonderful moment when Nate & I heard the cries of our little girl! She has long eyelashes, chubby cheeks, and a full head of dark hair. We are truly blessed with this sweet little girl!

Our Final Doctor's Appointment

Today, Nate and I went to what is to be our final visit at the doctor's office before Little L arrives. We had our second non-stress test (NST) and found that our little one is still quite happy, healthy, and content right where he/she resides. Who can blame him/her, really? Every need is met instantaneously. What a life! :) We continue to wait for Little L's arrival and we are excited...more than words can say!!

Father's Day (41 Weeks)

This is Nate's first Father's Day. We were hoping that we would be holding our little one today (I had a very special outfit for him/her to wear for daddy), but Little L is just way too comfortable where s/he is. So...we wait.

On this Father's Day, we celebrate that God is giving us the gift to be parents as well as celebrating our own fathers who are so special to us!

Baby Luepke's Room

The room is ready...now we need a baby!

39 Weeks

At 39 weeks, we were certain that Baby L would be joining us in a matter of days. We are still awaiting the arrival of this precious child.
