Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!!

This was our first Christmas as parents of this Precious Child of God, Danielle!

The Christmas story took on new meaning as we took this journey with our baby - God's gift to us - to welcome The Baby - God's gift to us.

We are blessed! Word's can't begin to describe the awe we have in God's creation, God's design, and God's imagination.

Truly, our lifes are a reflection of God's goodness.

Santa's Helper

Finger Painting

Danielle did an art project for her gift to others. She really, really got into the finger paint...however, the newspaper was much more interesting to her.

It was a fun experience (and a major clean-up!)

I met Santa!

Danielle met Santa for the first time. She went with her cousins and she loved it. We are just glad his beard is still in tact because she really loves to pull hair these days! :)

More Thanksgiving Fun!

Danielle loves her cousins and she loves to swing. It was a great day for her! :)

Pure delight as the girls zoomed down the slide at the Children's museum, played in the water, dug mulch, baked brownies, made bread and much more!

Thanksgiving!

Danielle's first Thanksgivingwas filled with adventures...adventures that wore her out for the week following. :)

We were blessed to have family in town for Thanksgiving. Maeta and Zofie had their first slumber party at Auntie Mel's & Uncle Nate's. While here, they entertained Danielle, chased a turkey (not a live one), drew the world's largest Christmas tree, complete with a LARGE snowman ornament, read stories with Grandpa Luepke, played games with Grandma Luepke, and much, much more. It was a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Danielle is a ton of fun. Smiles, laughter, silly sounds, new discover, and so much more make up our days. She loves her exersaucer and discovers something new every day. Rolling over is second nature now. Food?!?!? She is still not too sure about that, but continues to put up with the new experiences.

So much fun!

5 months old

Danielle is moving quite a bit these days. In her 5th month, she started rolling over, she is able to hold herself in a sitting position and plays with her toys, she loves paper (as you can see by these photos), and she is very entertained by children. She continues to be a happy baby with rarely a tear to be seen. :) She giggles, coos, is "singing", and much more! We continue to thank God for our little girl - a precious child of God!

Let's Swing!

The past few days have been beautiful in Indy. Danielle took advantage of the warm, sunny weather and headed to our neighborhood playground. She is now big enough to be in the baby swing. She LOVED it! She was all smiles and coos. It was fun to watch her discover what it feels like to swing in the air.

Go Daddy!

Nate ran in the 2008 Chicago Marathon. It was a very warm day which is not great racing weather, but it is great fan weather. Danielle and I had a great time cheering Nate and my brother, Matthew, on to victory...completion of 26.2 miles! :)
